Belgian pears are incredibly popular in China. Until recently, pears destined for the Asian market were packaged in wooden crates. When the supplier ceased trading, pear growers and exporters searched for a reliable alternative and found it in Smart Packaging Solutions’ stackable machine-erected trays.

Pears exported to China are typically stored in refrigerated containers for weeks on end. Sturdy, robust packaging is key to providing optimum protection for delicate items like pears. Our stackable machine-erected tray, with lid, is made entirely from quality solid board. With a gram weight of 1,450 grams, the packaging is extremely strong. What’s more, our stackable machine-erected tray has a double protective layer (PE-coating) on both the inside and outside. This guarantees our packaging is fully moisture-proof and won’t lose its rigidity.

Everything in-house
Our stackable machine-erected trays made from high-quality solid board are produced entirely in-house. We recycle waste paper, make new cardboard, laminate, print, die-cut, glue and deliver ready-to-use trays to the grower. This allows us to respond quickly, guarantee consistent quality, and deliver packaging designed to meet the needs of premium fruit exports.
First deliveries and growing demand
Our first delivery of stackable, machine-erected trays for pear exports has been successfully completed, and we’re also seeing a growing demand from the market, too.
